The folks at The Creative Center have come up with a unique idea for your gift-giving. Aren't we all looking for something new and different, for some of the people on our list? After last year's ornament sale went over so well, it was decided to make more this year. (The one pictured here, from last year, was designed by Rosemary McGee.) These ornaments are already for sale, but will be available at our December 8 gallery opening. Click here for more details about the day's plans. And mark your calendar now!
Last year, Rosemary's musical ornaments were our best-seller. This year she designed a new ornament for TCC. Here's a picture a single musical ornament, along with shots depicting how they will look on your Christmas tree. Enjoy the photos taken of our tree for your viewing pleasure.
Another one of our residents, Cindy Peck, came up with the idea of taking a piece of art and printing it on high-quality, glossy paper, having the artists sign, and then fold them into an origami German Bell. And voila! A little piece of member art can be kept for years to come. All of the in-house resident got involved in making these bells.
Yet another resident artist, Hollis Gabriel, had an idea we also liked... fill glass ornaments with Mylar and sprinkle in some glitter. So pretty. So many creative ideas.
And so many great helpers, Emily Myrick, Alice Bachman, Twanna Maryland, Paul Nixion, Julie Damerson, Louis DiEugenio, Carol Hamlin, Tracey Marshall, BethAnn Russell, Adrienne Sabir, Jane Smith, Karen Spencer, Debra Stephens, Jack Stone & Spencer Wilson. As well as Sudie Anderson, Betty Murrow, Laurie Thrackill & myself.
Our reception starts at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon with music by two of the cutest, most talents little violinists, Hope and Honour An Carter-Davis, ages seven and seven and a half. They will be playing for your enjoyment the full two hours. A must see and hear!!!
Come early and stay late! Vist the galleries (three) as well as art displayed on the second and third-floor hallways. You're going to find something for a lot of the people on your gift list, and maybe just a thing or two for yourself.
